Our TeaPotter swap hostess, jkanack (Jean) has crafted us quite an adventure this month. Mary Nohl was a pioneer in many ways of mixed media art. She was blessed to live a life where her art was her work. There are many interesting articles and always Pinterest, of course. Her family home was on the shore of Lake Michigan. Walking the beach, she found objects that were incorporated into her art.
I was inspired to create another card for todays challenge. It goes in my keeper box.
The stone border stencil (Stencil Girl) was used to create a path to the lake. I used Mixed Media paper to hold up to all the products I would throw at the work. Too many colors and names to list...but then this is a one of a kind anyway. I just kept working at it until I was pleased with the dimension and colors in the stones. Just as Mary liked to walk along the waters edge to find things to use in her art, I dug through the studio to find special vintage sequins and bobbles, and sparkle to sew into the path. I've got glass beads, felt, buttons, snowflake, heart.
Hence my title, i luv 'thunkin'. Reminds me of Dr Seuss, 2! Being in the moment and watching the art come to life is just the best! Thanks for stopping by...and skipping along my stone path.

OMGosh, this is truly amazing! I love all the little treasures that you've used along this fabulous pathway. The stones look like the slate stones we have in our curved pathway to the front door. The sentiment that you used is perfect with it, too!
