Happy 2021, friends! Kicking off the year with two great challenges to combine. An encouragement card is just what I needed today. I just found out that a former coworker has been in the hospital with COVID complications. He spent 11 days in a coma, but he's in rehab right now and looking forward to getting home tomorrow. I started to make him this card with the snowy background for the Free for All challenge, but it ended up a bit girly, so the card on the right will go to him. The one of the left started with a bubble wrap stamped background that I smeared paint (and some glittery paint) over. The one on the right is a gelli print background that I made using dahlia leaves. I stamped French Script over both of the backgrounds and applied texture paste through some stencils. The sentiment is from this bundle that had been a weekly freebie on The Hungry JPEG. It's printed on metallic pearly cardstock. I'm really glad to be able to send this card to my friend.
Wow! Both cards are stunners! I really like the masculine one with the deeper shade of blue and the moon and stars. Beautiful! Oh, how scary for him. I hope every day sees him getting stronger! Hugs!

Proof that a background and die cuts can make a difference and change the appearance of things. I love how you used the same sentiment and created two entirely different looks. Nice job.
