This mixed media creation goes out to Nancy's friend, Mia, who loves shoes, and by extension, I am guessing she loves to get all glammed up!
I started by going through my glitter paste, looking for something to make sparkling magic shoes. But then I saw this glamour girl just begging for an ocassion. The MMJ challenges have been intriguing me, but I haven't made a big plunge yet--so, here goes:
Challenge #1 a skirt. This one is made of real batik fabric, gathered at the waist with a few stitches and then the silk ribbon tacked with needle and thread, tied in a bow and attached with a glue dot.
Challenge #7 - texture paste. The bodice and shoes are glitter paste. Additional bling-heart gems on shoes and neckline, rhinestone earrings.
The backdrop is dry embossed for wall texture, then heat embossed for shine and glitter. The "floor" was masked and then deeply heat embossed with black and gold chunky for a marbelized finish. The bomb sentiment from Power Poppy seemed like the perfect way to cheer Mia in her recovery.

Wow. And then wow again. I thought that amazing couture creation looked as if it had to be real fabric, but to use paste for the bodice, genius idea. And the texture in the floor... I'm sure it's textured but it looks like polished granite. This is absolutely gorgeous.

Sonja, Mia is going to totally fall in love with this card (I am in love with it). Wow. You not only rocked this challenge but two MMJ challenges! That skirt is AMAZING! The sentiment is so positive and fun too. I can see her smile right now (it is a giant smile - she has one of the biggest smiles I have ever seen). Thanks for doing this and for making so beautiful. I still love this! I chatted with Mia this week. She was in tears over the beautiful cards and that people who didn't even know her would make her cards and pray for her. She was in tears. Thanks for making this and sending it to her, Sonja. Thanks for all you do to make people feel better. Hugz
