If we are at the beginning of Spring here in the Southern Hemisphere - I guess it must be Autumn somewhere else.
I used a Tutti Die to create this forest scene. Cut it twice and then coloured it in with water colour pencils. On the second die cut I coloured the leaves again and cut them off to use later.
The background is a water coloured - sploshy background in lovely shades of autumn colours.
I used the extra leaves to add another layer of coloured leaves on the ground under the squirrel to make it look more woodsy. I think I might go back now and give the little squirrel a tiny little black pearl eye.
I love little squirrels - but we don't have them here - I would gladly swap a pair of squirrels for my resident bush tailed possums that are running around my garden at the moment - instead of collecting nuts they are eating all the spring flower buds and stripping the maple trees of their sweet young leaves.
Hope you enjoy this water coloured garden scene.

How fascinating reading all the squirrel versus possum comments LOL. There are areas of Melbourne with no leaves on their trees due to possums - the little buggers eat my lemons! I digress, your autumn creation is absolutely fabulous. Your colouring never fails to blow me away. Your scenes make my heart smile. Take good care.
