I goofed this morning and made a card for WCW013 as it was at the top of the challenges and I was rushed and didn't see the date! duh...... and I had made a card with that technique when it WAS the correct week and it still didn't ring any warning bells!!!
SO - here is my card for TODAY's proper water color challenge - which is watercoloring die cuts. I watched the video attached and went in search of a die to use.
I couldn't find anything like the video showed to use - so I ended up simply die cutting these birch (or aspen) trees and watercoloring the bark onto them.
I used the Dappled Watercolor background technique from the WCW013 challenge for the background of my birches.
I love this sentiment from Technique Junkies - it actually has a row of trees on the stamp but I just inked the sentiment part for my card today.
I did splatter Clear Wink of Stella over the panel but it never shows up in photos!
Thanks for another interesting water color challenge ladies!!

Great look on your birch trees and I like that you took the camo look onto the sentiment panel too for continuity. That sentiment makes me giggle as I consider that creaking trees take on a different aspect when set in a dark forest with glowing eyeballs peering from the branches - lol.

I love this! I just ordered a birch die set from Gina Marie and can't wait to get it. I don't have any tree dies so I needed to remedy that . I love your card and I love this sentiment!

So true - especially during a storm and also I heard some with some fire videos and it was sad and scary too. Your card is not scary, but I did just read some spooky Scooby Doo stories to my Grandson and that was first thought! Love how you did the background and your fabulous painting on the dies! Beautiful. Hug

What an absolutely GLORIOUSLY BEAUTIFUL CAS card, WOW!!! I love how you have colored it, your use of color and shading onto your die-cuts, you've made it all so cohesive, and it's really one very stunning fall scene artwork.
I look forward to seeing more of your artwork. I have Favorited this and will be putting this as one of my CAS Favorites. I am very impressed with this artwork!!!
