I made this card for the ABC Challenge letter R for red. I also tried the Watercolor Wednesday challenge: "Cling Wrap."
I made 4 watercolor panels with watercolors and also Distress Oxide inks and spritzed water. This panel turned out mostly red, so I decided to stamp a poppy background on it. My black ink wasn't drying, so I added clear embossing powder and heat embossed the panel. Then I stamped and die cut some poppies. I didn't like the white edge around the flowers, so I fussy cut around the 3 flowers. A bit OCD...I know. I also darkened some areas of the flowers with a black Micron pen.
I used a die to cut out the "sunshine" sentiment and used the negative die cut, mounting it onto red, then cut it down, outlining it with black and mounted it with 3D pop dots onto the bottom of my card. I also used 3D pop dots on one flower, gluing the other 2 flowers directly onto the background panel. I layered this panel onto black and then my cream card.

Gracie, this is so beautiful! The title of your card brought some tears to my eyes, this is what my son called my Dad. His nickname was Red. We sure do miss our Poppy Red.
