Oh my goodness, it felt so good to spend some time in my (new) craft room this week. One thing about moving, things get reorganized. All my work organizing my scraps before the move paid off when they were easy to find when I was ready to make some cards.
I needed a birthday card for my cousin who is of a certain age so pulled out this cute "Panda Pals" set from MFT that I have had for some time, but had yet to ink up. (Sentiment from "Birthday Pals" - another NBUS set asking to be loved)
Started by stamping, coloring and die cutting my focal image. Cut a second image of thin card stock for dimension.
Cut a panel of Bazzill Diamond Bling card stock slightly smaller than A2 size. Cut a second layer from thin cardstock for dimension. Used MFT In & Out circle die to cut out a round aperture from both layers. Attached to top fold A2 card base.
Stamped and colored sun/cloud image before masking and ink blending the stitched circle. Removed mask and inlaid. Attached focal image.
Stamped sentiment using Hero Arts white pigment ink pad and clear embossed. Die cut using MFT die. Used foam tape to pop up, leaving open where tree trunk was.
Finished off by running glitter marker over the tree leaves.
I wanted to print a sentiment inside like "Don't be scared. It's just a birthday" but my printer isn't set up yet, so opted for stamping sentiment, "I hope your day is full of surprises" as I thought it went well with the image.
Submitting this to the USEIT2020 challenge.
