A touch of unexpected blue went into this classic Rubber Stampede pear. I stamped the pear, using only water and then daubed my brush onto the tips of the watercolor crayons that were on my desk. I tried not to think, as I usually freak out a bit when holding a brush. When the pear colors dried, I over-stamped the image with the green. There were a few out-of-the-line splotched areas, which led me to using the black watercolor crayon as a BG to cover it up. When trimming it down, I liked the white base line, but the pear was floating too much in the middle, so adding the sentiment balanced it out. Love the rich purple panel. All was mounted on white felt card.

You were smart to do the over-stamping. It didn't run all together that way. The blue is a great color to add to this and I love the purple mat. Another unexpected color that works really well.
