This card is for Ann's challenge "Inchie Tiles" had some amazing fun doing this but it took me over the hour sadly. I was determined to finish it though because I can't remember doing this technique.
My tiles are a bit wonky in size but all approximately an inch and lets not talk about the grouting, all I can say is thank goodness I didn't have to tile our bathroom floor.
I chose this Magenta image because it had quite a lot of shading and the thought was that it would be quick to colour ... and it was. I stamped it in Memento London Fog which is a soft grey so that the shading wouldn't be to bold. I coloured the image using distress markers and an aqua brush, quick and easy.
I then cut the image into one inch squares...more or less lol.
Next I went round them with my black copic, I chose this because it has a chisel end and better to do the edges but I which I hadn't because it left marks on my pad which in turn transferred to the top tile with the hello. I decided I didn't have enough time to make a new one so disguise the error with some sponging.
It looks like someonr has broken a tile and then couldn't match the original and had to go with what was available.....it happens lol.
I only did one layer of embossing and if I wasn't under such time constraints (that I completely ignored in the end) I would have done at least another layer but it is nice and shinny so it will do.
All that's left to tell is I popped the front panel up with some craft foam and that's all folks, thanks for looking.
Cheers Marg

This really is a labor-intensive technique. I have spent the evening working on mine and it isn't done yet! I think you are being a bit hard on yourself as it is really well-done and beautiful. You chose a beautiful image and a nice composition. Cheers to you.
