Normally I don't layer my CAS cards and would have a lot more white or open space on the card but I got this gorgeous DP in a SU order yesterday and just had to use it lol.
You have to use your imagination here. it's late afternoon and the gnomes are inside having tea and hot buttered toast.
This is a very straight forward card. I stamped the image coloured it with copic markers. Cap; R22, R24, R29 & R59. Gills; E00, E21, E11. Stalk; C00, C0, C-1. Door, chimney, shutters & windowsill on cap; E31, E33, E35. Window light; Y13, Y15, Y17. Leaves & grass; YG25, YG95.
Stamped the greeting in SU Poppy Parade then over stamped with Versa Mark watermark and clear heat embossed it. Sponged SU Old Olive ink around the edges, mounted the panel onto some white craft foam using the Tombo glue then mounted that onto the other card panels having put them together using X-Press It high tack double sided tape.
Finally I put some puff paint onto the white spots on the mushroom cap and heated them so the paint puffed up. Love this stuff but you need very little of it as it doubles in size when heated, good news is you can lift the paint while it is in liquid form with paper towel .... just saying ;) I attached the sequins and put a little dab of liquid Pearls - Avocado in their centres.
Now....I'm going to get on my high horse here. Normally I don't use stamps or images that come with no providence ie: who the artist was who created the images in the first place however friends and family often give me little sets of stamps they have very thoughtfully purchased on Wish or Alibaba and this set is a case in hand. I feel bad that I can't identify or give credit to the original artist.
It makes me very angry when I see stamps for sale on these sites for next to nothing knowing full well that the intellectual property belongs to someone, this is tantamount to theft.
Some of our favourite artists have fallen victim to this thievery;
Mo Manning
Tim Holtz
Magnolia ... and many many more.
Please help our artists by buying directly from them or through reputable craft stores t will keep our craft alive and healthy. No one has prompted my to say what I have said, it is just me feeling guilty that i have used someones art work and I don't even know who it is.
Thanks for looking and reading this.
Cheers Marg

You created such a fantastic scene to go with that gorgeous dp, Marge. I can sure imagine those gnomes having fun in their little mushroom home. That puffy paint makes that mushroom come to life. Thanks for the heafs up on those internet sites.

What a cute little gnome home, I want to go hang out for tea, too! Your coloring is fabulous and the dsp goes so well. Wonderful card, Marg!
I love your comment about buying on "those" sites and supporting the artists that enrich the crafting world. Thanks for speaking out on this topic Marg!
