When I was about ten or eleven, I would walk to the library with the hopes of reading every book starting with the As....Didnât get too far but I always took a book home. Still love to read and my family rooms has a ton of books! My son made me book shelves, and my two kids can take any book home but has to remember to return it. My mother gave me a hard back book of âGone With the Wind.â Inside she wrote that the book was for the library I wanted one day. Still have the book! Thanks for the challenge!

Oh Kathy, I just loved reading your memories. We used to go to the library regularly too - I still remember those old-fashioned library cards. The one in our town, I pass it sometimes now when I visit my aunt and it looks SO small, but it was a wonderful magical place that felt huge when we were little. I still go to our local one - too many books in the house that I want to keep, the library stops the shelves from collapsing. Love your card - lots of colouring but it must have been fun.

What a fabulous stamp! I love to read too. I hate to admit though that I no longer go to the library, but now read books on my tablet. What a great memory.

I love this and love that you have this memory and the perfect stamp to express it! I, too, have always loved to read. And I am wracking my brain trying to remember the public library in the town where I grew up. I am failing miserably. I know we must have made trips to the library. I could not possibly have owned all the books I read, so I don’t know why I cannot remember.

Lovely memory and beautiful card! That stamp is perfect! Even at a very young age I admired the architecture of our local library. It is a Carnegie library and opened in 1916. Thanks for the memories!
