I really like those abstract pillows and used some alcohol ink backgrounds and stencils to make my card happen. A while ago I had done some gel printing with DOx inks, alcohol inks and stencils. I did use a stamp on the gel plate for the bottom layer but I can't remember which one I used. It's sort of a doily shape. I don't lose socks, I lose art supplies. I couldn't find the stencil that I used on the half round vellum piece, so I used a round stencil on the ai background with some rose colored luna paste.
This is also for the tea party for Sharon (sorry, not a travel card but in blue) and for this week's sketch.

I agree, the pillows are really pretty. I love where your inspiration took you. This is gorgeous! Wonderful colors. You made me laugh in your description. I lose art supplies AND socks! Well, lost or not this turned out beautifully!

Super use of the sketch. Stencilling on vellum...that's something I'll have to try, I like the look it has and how it still shows the layer and base underneath. But the real eye-catcher is that rose gold stencilling on the blue. If the edit function was fixed I'd add this to my Favourites list.
