Amy, congrats on hosting your first Inspiration Challenge. What a fun site. I found that today's inspiration website was perfect inspiration for Polly's MIX challenge that I missed yesterday (and which I was totally stumped by). I'm finally home from Dayton and over my stomach bug--not fun to be crazy sick all alone in a hotel room. Very fun to be back home in my craft room. I liked this apron for the pretty flowers and butterflies. This took a lot of time and planning to make. First I stamped the flowers and masked them, then I stamped the leaves and masked them, so I could stamp some script and cross hatching in the background. I colored the flowers and printed, cut, and colored this pretty Stamplorations digi. I tried to sponge a bit of a shadow behind the cup of flowers to offset it a bit against the very busy background. Then I wrapped some pink ribbon to ground it. I grabbed this glittery scrap from an old card to cut a tag and tied it with a piece of rose gold cord. This is one of those cards where I decided to just throw everything I had at it and see what happened. So I covered the cup and berries with Crystal Glaze and the flowers and leaves with Stickles--all of this after I applied Wink of Stella. And then added rhinestones to some of the flower centers. These dollar store butterfly stickers were begging to be used too. Finished off with some stamped splatter for the Stamplorations Stamps & Splatter Challenge.
