Jeanne has an interesting color challenge for us this week: Pretty Peacock + Rococo Rose + So Saffron with your favorite warm beverage for dessert.
I decided to have a cafe mocha with just a bit of whipped cream. My mugs were colored with blends. For a little fun I doodled some checks on one of my mugs and colored them with a Pretty Peacock marker. The checked border was made with grid paper, colored first with the Pretty Peacock marker and then given a bit of extra character by tracing the lines with a light Crumb Cake and adding a touch of So Saffron.
You will have fun with this one so please join us in the gallery!

Chris, every time I see one of your cards in the gallery, I wonder what gem of a technique you're going to share. This week is no exception. Wow! Grid paper for a checked border?!?! How wonderful, and how expertly you colored it--and the little checks on the mug to carry the theme through! Oh, oh, oh! So adorable! And I love the way you did the woodgrain background, too! Love this!

Chris, what beautiful and creative work! Love the checked pattern on both the mug and the side of the front, and combined with the embossed card front! Inspired job with this week's colors!
