I had no real intention to include the sketch with yesterday's tea party for Jacqueline; as usual, everything happened organically. I named this the way I did because....I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS CARD! I can't help it.
This new to me Altenew stamp/die set was always going to be used. I wanted a old world look. I surely didn't want a hodgepodge of all 12 elements (oh, let's stick Santa there, oh don't forget the red), so it took a while to get all those elements in there. Kristina Werner did a background similar to mine, so that way, I could get all those colors in there. I stamped the globe stamp on my stash piece, as well as the sentiment (my additional item). I wasn't sure how to get Santa and the presents in there, but then I found this old world Santa and the old fashioned sled with present and there you go!
All the colors and every element is there. I love that it is balanced, doesn't look too disjointed and everything has a place. I think the shimmery striped background works so well with all of it. I put gold pearls on the Alsace region and Wisconsin (more or less). My family is from Alsace also, a combo of German and French.

Such a rich looking card with all those deep bg colors and the gold corner stripes...I can't believe you got all the elements on this but you did and it doesn't look overdone or cluttered...it looks marvelous!

Bestill my heart Jean, this is one incredible card my friend. I adore the old world/vintage feel to this card. The background is really gorgeous and sets such an interesting stage for all of these fabulous old world items. I love this card a lot so I can see why you are so pleased with it too Jean. Jeannie's mom is going to adore this card! ~Karen.
