Had a little idea to do a super fast card for my hubby for Veteran's Day. He had been gone for three days and came home last night. I left this card with some die cut stars on the stove. (I knew he would heat up a little dinner and see it.) He loved it.
He fought in both Gulf Wars, went to Afghanistan, and also was part of a team that tried to find Noriega in the jungles. My Father was a Drill Sargent and a Minuteman in the AirForce. My sweet Stepfather (who turns 87 tomorrow) served two tours in the Koran War - his stories will make you cry. I am so proud of them and all our other Veterans. They make serious sacrifices and they suffer silently in the aftermath as well. PTSD is VERY real. The physical effects of War and training and protecting are real too. I wish for more Peace in the world. Why can't we just all get along?
Enough about that. The card was printed on the computer, sponged quickly with red and blue, dipped in ep (sloppily) and heated. Then some stars were stenciled in various strengths of ink.
