Purple has been my favorite color - forever, so this Lavender Fields Tapestry spoke to my heart.
I found this cool piece of DSP that had a similar design to the tapestry and decided to see if I could incorporate that to a Christmas theme. I die cut a Nativity and realized by blind luck that my bg had a "glow" right where the manger was. Bad luck for me when I glued it to the DSP I ended up with an orange streak across the front of my nativity. Now the smart thing would have been to cut a second piece and glue it over the original but since my mind was still half asleep, I salvaged it by painting several layers of gesso over the smear . . .and that actually worked pretty good! I colored my star with a golden yellow marker and inset. I finished with an old SU sentiment inked with Frost white and embossed with Snow White Powder.

Nicely done! I had to check your inspiration, I was pretty sure I knew which one you used! For some reason, I never want to die cut another piece to fix something. Why is that? You did a great job and I would never have noticed!
