Jeanne is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week. Her colors made me think of cake and balloons! The colors are Pacific Point, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight. The dessert option is to use an embossing folder.
I dug out a stamp set I've had for months (years?) and have never used. I stamped, then cut out the images with my Scan 'n Cut and colored with Copic Markers. I couldn't decide whether hippos should be gray, brown, or something in between, so I have a variety of hippos on my card. This card is going to a young lady who adores hippos, so I got as many of them as I could on the card, then didn't have room for a greeting! My labelmaker to the rescue, and a tiny "Hippo Birthday!" just fit.
I'm still not sure about that one on the top left. I hope it looks as though he's coming into the scene from behind the Flamingo layer, not that he lost his back end!
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

That top left hippo definitely looks like he's jumping into the party, Barbara! This card is just delightful with all the adorable hippos and the great layout - such a fun birthday card for your young friend!
