Polly is hosting this week's teaparty for our very own Splitcoastie, Vicki aka basement stamper. Our challenge is to "emboss".
Vicki has a much loved Dachshund and I nearly fell off my unicorn when I realised that I could morph a sea-horse into a sea-dachshie!
The background is from my stash and I think it is a mixture of distress ink, Dylusions ink spray and a dash of Izink. After running it through an embossing folder and my nifty little Gemini Junior, I sanded the raised bits.
The mermaid and seahorse were printed on copy paper and coloured with prismacolour pencils, Zest it pencil blend and highlighted with Copics.
To make the seahorse into a sea-dachshie, I used a colourful scrap from my stash and made a body. I lopped off the original sea-horse head and attached it to the new body. Job done!
Thanks for looking and I hope you get a chance to join in our teaparty for Vicki.

Well knock me over with a feather Susie! This is so creative and so colorful and quite simply ah-mazing. You taking a sea horse and turning it into a sea-dochshi is what took me over the edge- I wish I could see how your brain works Susie because I love this! Your images are colored so beautifully and they showcase your gorgeous ocean background perfectly. The embossing feels absolutely right for this wonderful underwater scene Susie. Vicki is going to adore this gorgeous card you made for her. ~Karen.

I love where your imagination takes you, Susie, and this sea-doxie is right out of a fairy tale - I also noticed that your pretty in pink mermaid has quite a case of sea moss aka glitter. Great choice of EF with it's swirling waves and tiny air bubbles.
