I sketched a globe for the bg, then stamped. I watercolored the bird, fussy cut it, then popped it up. Lastly, I added a black pearl for the eye.
This card is for Shelley, our Teapot Tuesday recipient, who has breast cancer. This is a subject close to my heart (me, my mother, and now my DD, who just finished her chemo and radiation). Shelley loves roses and snow globes, so this was designed just for her.
It feels so good to be stamping again, as my hand heals from a double surgery!! Thanks for all your good wishes and cards, dear friends.

I am so sorry to read what your family are going through Anne. It is lovely seeing you in the gallery and with such a special creation of the things Shelley loves.

What a clever card, Anne! I love the cute bird. Your hand must be getting better with all the work on this card.....
(Today I actually spent 45 mins. getting out the water filter from the refrigerator and putting in the new one. Putting it in took 5 mins but taking out the old, needed a pliers....thanks dad.)

Woo hoo, Anne is back in the galleries! I love your idea of making your own snow globe, and the hummer and flowers look so pretty. Wonderful card for Shelly!

This hummingbird is so sweet and it's amazing as a snowglobe! What a brilliant design! So summery and cheerful. Sure to bring a smile to Shelley. I'm sure your DD is relieved to be done with her treatment. Prayers for you all!

I'm really glad to see that you're back to stamping. I've missed so much with trying to get ready to move, I don't think I knew you were having surgery or other problems. Know that I am overjoyed that you are doing well enough to stamp though. This humming bird is such a fun one and the big pink blossoms you've given him to feed from are really nice!
