Thanks to our Teaparty Hostesses this month! Sue, I was intrigued to see you were struck by the expressions on contestants on the Voice. You challenged us to use 'Face Time' faces this month. In thinking of all the faces I've used through my gallery, it is this Stampers Anonymous woman, I've created art with the most. Her wrinkles were earned through living life as it came. Probably with not lots of frills.
I am editing to add a link to the last time I'd used this image Mother's Day Card I have this back in my collection as I came across it as well as treasured box of correspondence in my Mimi's home.
She needed the awesome 3-d leaf EF from Sizzix. Those beefy leaves with deep veins. I love the texture they add. She is stamped with the Adirondack 'Pesto' ink, lips colored with a Copic marker and then a cherished piece of vintage Bali raw silk trim given to me by a fellow artist many years ago. It's just perfect to spotlight those laugh lines, tear lines, and smile lines.
The sentiment is from a Tim Holtz paper sticker booklet. Great Things do take time. It's work to craft a happy wrinkle...ask me how!
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Perfect image for this challenge, Susan. So much character in her face - you just know there are stories. And the stories by a woman who would wear this hair ribbon/scarf have got to be good too. She may have had some bumps and bruises along life's way, but she kept her sense of fun obviously. GREAT card. Hugz

I think wrinkled faces can be so beautiful. Sometimes I think I'd like to take photos of my MIL, but I'm not sure she'd appreciate it. This is amazing. Reminds me, for some reason, of L M Boston's Green Knowe books. Love the way you cut one of the leaves to help hold her onto the page.

This woman's face speaks volumes doesn't it? You portrayed her perfectly!
