It's Teapot Tueday and this week our cards are going to Buckeye, Arizona. All the deatils for our Teaparty can be found here .
We are back from our holiday, had a brilliant time, but on the downside my mojo decided to stay up north! When I get stuck for inspiration, I choose a couple of cards from my gallery and sort of blend them together. This is the result.
Three distress inks have been used on the background - wild honey, seedless preserves and walnut stain. I smacked the wild honey ink onto a sheet of aluminium foil, squirted on a lot of water and applied the inky water to the cardstock using a foam blending tool.
The process was repeated using Seedless Preserves distress ink. When the yellow and purple inks were almost dry, I used walnut stain distress ink to stamp on the the background foliage.
When everything was completely dry, I decided what area to leave bright, then used a walnut stain foam blending tool (no added water) on the areas I didn't want to highlight.
To create the bird on the branch, I covered a scrap of cardstock with metal roofing tape, then ran it through a die cutting machine. Copic markers were used to colour the bird and branch.
Thank you for looking and I hope you get a chance to join in and send gentle thoughts to Bob and Tracy during this difficult time.

Such a peaceful sunset card Susie. That delightful little metallic bird is so pretty and really stands out against the beautiful Susie background. I guess your Mojo and Mine are hiding some place up north at the moment - at least they will be nice and warm and be company for each other.
