I needed a sympathy card and this week's TLC and Alphabet challenges helped me get this made. I LOVE using color burst powders so when I found out this week's TLC challenge was to use watercolor powders, I was thrilled. And this week's letter for the Alphabet Challenge is J. The J in my card is all the colors of Jade you see. I started with a piece of Kromekote paper, sprinkled the colorburst powders all over it and sprayed it generously with water. I set this aside to dry while I started working on the rest of the card. I took 2 rectangle dies and cut a narrow frame that fits around the die cut top panel. Once the watercolor panel was completely dry, I sprayed it generously with Elmer's spray adhesive, then poured StampinUp Dazzling Diamonds glitter over the entire piece. Shook it off, then set it aside to dry for a couple more hours. Once this was dry for a 2nd time, I ran this through a Sue Wilson embossing folder that I borrowed from a friend. It is pretty hard to see the embossing on this card, but it is really pretty in real life. This gorgeous 3D butterfly die was a gift from a very special SCS friend and I was so thrilled how this looks cut from the glittered/embossed color burst piece. The remainder of this was placed behind the top panel so it peeks through the die cut. Thank you Judy for your wonderful TLC challenge this week and thank you Ann for the alphabet challenge for the letter J. This card is going to a dear alphabet sister. Thanks for looking today. ~Karen.
