Polly is this week's hostess for the Teapot Tuesday challenge ~ MMTPT561 Hug-a-thon.
I was trying to think if I had any images relating to hugs, but since we were told that Amanda likes hydrangeas and blue, I thought I'd run with that. I'm not sure if these flowers are actually hydrangeas, but they're close enough.
Wrinkle free distress on white card with distress oxide. When dry, I stamped and embossed the verse, and stamped the image twice along the bottom and embossed it. Used bleach to bleach out the leaves (which were actually lovely in white, but I wanted the contrast of the green so I used reinker to colour them), and the blossoms. Added Stickles to the blossoms. Matted onto gold mirror card and then a white base.
I'm not a big embellishments person, but Stickles and Liquid Pearls are certainly staples in my repertoire, and since it's the Stickles that live under my desk while I have to walk over to a shelf for the Liquid Pearls, it must be that Stickles are my favourite.

Sitting here looking at that wonderful background - it is just so very pretty. Great way to frame your verse. This must look so pretty IRL - with the sparkle from the glitter.

Sabrina, this is gorgeous at the top and when I scrolled down it took my breath away. I sure do love the Stickles on those flowers. And the gold framing. This card is just perfect. And all of my favorite things are within arm's reach. I have to get up and walk to things like alcohol inks, ribbon, washi tape, paint (although I've recently moved black and white paint to drawer right next to me).

Wow! This card is sooo gorgeous Sabrina. The background alone is stunning and really highlights this amazing verse and your wonderful flowers. You have such a talent for putting so many techniques into one card and making it look cohesive - and easy! I adore the colors and I have to say, I giggled about your stickles/liquid pearls analogy (which totally makes sense!). ~Karen.
