Today's sketch was pretty perfect for a card that a friend asked me to make for her nephew that just graduated from pilot training in the Air Force. I like the upwards angle with the airplane. This is another digi that I got during the 12 hour Tiddly Inks sale on 12/31. I actually bought it by accident. It came with a flying pig that I thought was cute. A happy accident though because it is perfect for this card. What was also great about this sketch is that it was good for making two cards. I printed the sentiment on both sheets of DP and cut them so I could have two opposite backgrounds. I also printed and cut out two of the dogs. I figured as long as I was making an Air Force card, I should also make one to cheer up my Air Force nephew, Ben when he reports back to school in CA. He's been home for Christmas, but he leaves tomorrow and probably won't be home again until next Christmas. I think that's going to be tough for him and this high flying doggie (on an action wobble) will hopefully cheer him up. My card felt a little plain so I added enamel accents and a star sticker on the plane that felt really perfect for an Air Force card.
