I don't know how old this Stampin Up! collage stamp is, but when I found it at a thrift store, unused, I knew it would make gorgeous cards. So new to me...and first time out...I picked it to use in the VSN 'Holiday Stories' challenge DEC18VSNA 'A Christmas Carol'. Misty asked us to portray our favorite carol. Mine is Silent Night. And the first verse is part of this wonderful stamp.
I used Archival ink to get perfect coverage with such intricate details. Embossing with clear. That allowed me to use the Gellatos. I love rubbing on the colors. The holly berries and the Poinsettias were colored with Copics. I added gold seed beads in the centers of the flowers for dimension. The word LOVE was placed in the elegant bracket (a Wendy Vecchi for Stampers Anonymous).
Thanks for stopping by...wishing you Silent Nights and a Joyful Christmas season.

Oh, Susan, you have made an awesome card using the Christmas Collage stamp. The coloring of different sections of the image is beautiful, and I love that you left in the "25" portion of the stamp. Many crafters would cut that out when using the stamp. You have inspired me to pull my Christmas Collage stamp from the box that I have ready to go to Goodwill. I have never inked it as I just didn't know how to create with it. I think the stamp was issued in 2010. I LOVE your awesome card, Susan!
