my 'B' side? This week we are tea~partying with Ellen (Eager Beaver) in encouraging her in her dance with cancer and in her efforts to encourage others.
I had a long visit in Ellen's gallery. Her gallery is full of encouraging and appreciative cards. And just visiting made me see a world of art I had not known. Yeah for SCS.
Me thinks, Ellen has a wicked sense of humor. And I've been really silly lately. So I give you and Ellen a chuckle or two. Truth be told, we are all probably a country music song waiting to happen!!!
Over on the Free 4 All this week, Robin challenged us to a cowboy with rope (twine) and ride 'em. I do have a cowboy riding a pig and whirling a lasso...but I'll save that for another time. I am dancin' with the one who brought me and that is this precious senior from Art Impressions. She's actually got a backside I'll save for another card...another 'B' side. Robin asked for twine on our cards. Check!
I stamped the Howdy (Rubber Stamps of America) and then laid the twine over the image. Paper pieced the shawl, hat, and hair. Added glossy accents to her glasses. Cut out a cassette from the 'B side' papers and used UTEE to make it dimensional. Stamped the fence (another Art Impressions image) onto faux wood dp. used cheap tiny staples to construct the fence.
Ellen, I hope my card gives you a joy infusion. Your art is lovely. And I wish for you dies that sing to you, paper that causes your heart to flutter, and health to create again. Thank you for caring to get the word out again...get those check~ups women...and men.
