A Fall birthday card for a cardmaking friend. Playing catch-up challenges, it will fit seven challenges.
#1. WT705 (Ways to Use It Challenge) - 9/13/18 - "Fruit!" A pumpkin is a fruit...who knew!? It is of the Cucurbitaceae family, i.e., watermelon, cantelope, cucumber, squash, and pumpkin...typically with a hard rind of the gourd family with seeds and formed from the plants flower.
#2. IC666 (Inspiration Challenge) - 9/8/18..."Paper & Scratch." Here is my inspiration choice using color and plaid: Organize Your Entryway.
#3. TLC704 (Try a New Technique Challenge) - 8/27/18..."Pairing Fonts." Use different fonts & sizes for your sentiment.
#4. F4A441 (Free for All Challenge) - 8/3/189..."Let's Be Friends." My card is a friendship birthday card.
#5. DD9ABC22V (Alphabet Challenge, Round 9) - 7/18/18. For color letter V = VanDyke Brown (dark brown), Vermilion (orange-red), and Viridian (medium blue-based green). Bonus: verse...Chatterbox verse inside - see Fall Happy Birthday-inside upload.
6. MMTPT518 (Teapot Tuesday Challenge) - 6/26/18..."Be Glad and Be Plaid." Using something that says Scotland, Ireland, and/or Wales with extra Cookies if you use two or more. My two are: plaid and acorns, which is important to all three countries.
Plaid or tartan depicts their family or clan heritage... no two families or clans use the same plaid. Acorns represent the Acorn Oak, which once formed over 1/3 of the tree coverage in all of the British Isles and was important to the shipbuilding industry. Did you know they do not produce acorns until 40 years old!
#7. USEIT2018 (Use It Challenge) - ongoing year around. Using items or tools gathering dust from lack of use: stash leftovers...papers, ribbon, lace, digital image.
Ingredients: Papers: Stampin' Up Cardstock--Crumb Cke, Early Espresso, Tangerine Tango, Very Vanilla, Antique Linen. Stash: unknown acorns and plaid. Digital Pre-colored bookmark: Autumn Wind by Digital Papers. Chestnut Roan ink distressing. The itty bitty patterns on the dp's are just the sweetest and work really well for your image! I adore all the lace and ribbon and the way you added the sentiment panel too!

Ooh, Carlene, what a sweet and dear face! She is a sweetie, and I absolutely love this card! Yes, it is you -- making friendship cards and making cards that fit so many challenges. You are the Mistress of Challenges! Hehe! Truly, I so admire how you work them all in. I read each one and loved the inspiration piece you chose. It's perfect, sweet friend! The colors are so rich and fall-like, and I especially love those bitty apples tucked in with the ribbon! And I always love lace on a card (yes, I have a stash that I always forget to use - ha!). I love this, Carlene!! Hugs and love! xoxo

What a sweet card, Carlene! That little girl with the leaves swirling around are perfect for this fall-themed card. Love the lace at the top and the pretty ribbon with the pumpkins tucked in behind!
