Happy Thursday, everyone. It's time to use it with the WT. ravengirl issued a Fruit! challenge and referenced Roald Dahls' book James and the Giant Peach. I am bringing out my tutti fruity gals for this one.
I absolutely love the snarky humor of the original illustrator, J Wright. Stamps Happen must have licensed Wright's work sometime in the distance past. My fruit for the WT is cherries. On a hat, on the table, in the drinks they are toasting with...and even a few cherries as a focal at the top of my card.
I used Copics to color these seriously stylish friends. Glossy Accents for the martini glasses and eye glasses. A bit of Washi tape the the top to conceal the join. A tiny sparkly mod pink heart (a gift from tessaduck), vintage velvet trim, and a few sequins.
So just in case the snark is hard to read, it goes:
We've finally reach the
stage in life where
we no longer need man...
...because we
can't remember what
they're for.
Happy Birthday!
Thanks for visiting, I appreciate your comments. And whether you're enjoying a luscious peach, fruit flavored Skittles, or a fro yo sundae, have a flavorful day~o.

An old Beau once told me to get my boobs off the table. If only he could see me now. I appear to be the one on the right. Love all the coloring, the added cherries and you, the one who is perched on top of the unseen whipped cream.

If I remember correctly, they weren't good for much. Sorry to those who are happily married!! This is cute and I love it!

Snark at it's best, Iove it! The trim at the top coordinates so well. I just picked up this stamp at the thrift store, thanks for the inspiration to use it ;)
