When I saw the beautiful colors of glitter card stock included in this month's MFT release, I knew I had to make them mine. And, while (too) many of my must-have purchases end up being NBUS items for way too long, I knew that this would not be the card stock's fate. In my mind's eye, I was convinced that they would make for a sparklicious rainbow. And I wasn't disappointed. You can see the sparkle in the picture, but you all know that the camera never does sparkle justice.
But onto the how-to's....
Die cut the rainbow from each of my colors and arranged in rainbow order. On a piece of inexpensive cardstock, I die cut the rainbow where I thought I wanted it and temporarily positioned the pieces. I found the sentiment in a 2017 Stamptember set Mama Elephant did for Simon. The words, font and size were perfect. Used my MISTI to stamp it just to be sure. Removed my rainbow pieces and discarded the test panel.
Once I had that figured out, I cut a panel of Bazzill Diamond Bling card stock. Stamped and embossed my sentiment to use as a positioning guide for the rainbow die. Cut the rainbow and then inlaid the glitter pieces using glossy accents.
Stamped and colored the Mama Elephant panda. Die cut him out and cut a second "blank" from scrap card stock to add dimension.
Trimmed down my focal panel slightly, added a thin panel below it for dimension and assembled the card. Added my panda.
Alternated PPP star sequins around the outside of the rainbow.
Hope you like how this one turned out as much as I do. TFL!
