Hi, everyone! This week's Color Challenge forced me to dust off one of my 'oldie but goodie' stamp sets from Stampin Up which hasn't been used in years, 'Sun Ripened'. I was lucky enough to have a Berry Burst marker, but had to use Lucky Limeade for the leaves. The raspberry image was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then colored both with markers and watercolor. A craft knife and paper snips were used to fussy cut the image before popping it up with foam tape over the Smoky Slate card base which was scored with a Scor-buddy. The sentiment is from another older SU set, called 'Happy Harmony'. I chose not to add embellishments so that it would stay very CAS. Thanks so much for looking! Have a very blessed day!

Oh, Angie, your coloring is exquisite and makes these raspberries look so real and like they were truly just picked from the vine! What an amazing and stunning CAS card for this one! It needs nothing else. You are right about dusting off some of the oldies. They are some of the best ones, and I've been purging my stamp collection and wish I had this one. But I have plenty and have found I too have become reacquainted with some. Thanks for sharing this gorgeous card, my friend! You are amazing (but I knew that already!). Hugs and love! xoxo

Your coloring looks so realistic, it drew me right in. I like how you've colored and then placed your focal image in a grey card base--it really makes your image pop! I must try using this color of a card base... I love the simple, scored lines on the top of the card and below the focal image, this is stunningly beautiful in its clean and simple lines. When you can color so well as you can, you don't want to take the emphasis away from the colored focal image. This is truly lovely!!!
Thank you so much for leaving your kind, supportive comment on my card, Ben's 16th!--it truly meant a great deal to me, especially coming from a card-making artist I respect and admire so much. I love Our Daily Bread Designs, especially their bible verse stamps and their faith-based sentiments, and I have admired your work for some time. So, it was a huge honor to see that you had stopped to look at my card, and then you left a comment. Again, thank you so much!!!
