Jill (JD from PAUSA) is this week's Featured Stamper. I am a huge fan of Jill. Her gallery is full of warm and comforting cards. She also has a very talented husband who sometimes colors images for her (I have always been super jealous of this - my DH won't even try). I love her quilt looks, great card shapes, and vintage cards. Today I picked a vintage card as my inspiration:
I tried to find an old picture to use but only found this church from an old magazine. I thought it would be fun to put it on a piece of cork like it was put on a memo board as a reminder. I used some SU! ribbon instead of beads. No flowers but there is a kind of flower design on the brads.
On my picture and the lace, I added gesso to stick them and protect them. I added some gold paint to the brads and to the lace. So this also qualifies for the mix challenge since I embedded the lace with gesso and paint and I have ink, paint, and gesso as my mediums.
Congrats Jill and a million thanks for all the encouragement and inspiration you have given me and others! Hugz
So what happens with your gesso isn't dry and you stamp on it? Blurred words - but it still works and I love the church so I kept it.

Nancy - this is perfection! I love the overall design and of course the scripture. You made amazing choices as you developed this idea. Thanks so much for playing!

I love old little country churches. This adorable little church you've created looks like the one a road over from me. Sometimes I go out of way just to past by it. I like your church as much as that one. Good job.

This is an old post, but I just today, realized Nancy, that you had honored me by casing one of my cards. I love how my card inspired you to make this very beautiful creative card! Thank you again, Nancy!
