This is my card for Cathy's WT693 challenge which you can find HERE.
I grew up beside the sea and really miss it. I got back early on Wednesday morning from two weeks in Greece, where I was able to swim (no surfing) every day in beautiful warm blue waters...
For this card I used the Side Step Card tutorial, and some VERY old bits of 12x12 paper. It's hard to see in the photo, but I used the same sea paper on the centre and back step: the back one is fully covered, the centre one I cut along the curve of the wave and Snoopy is surfing down it. I added the two little beach huts and three seagulls out for a stroll along the sand. The middle one is investigating a shell (IO die, sponged and coated with Glossy Accents), and I added a little sun to brighten things up. The lifebelts are popped up on thin foam.

What a delightful beach scene! The details you put in your cards are so inspiring. That old beach paper found its perfect place and you must have squealed with delight when you paired up the "ocean" paper with Snoopy. So glad you had your days in the Grecian waters.

This couldn't be more fun! I'm sitting here looking at all the cute details, like the bird with the sailor hat and of course, surfing Snoopy. Love the beach shacks and the fact that you made this extra special as a side-step card! Great work!

Oh Sabrina, you are such a pro at putting together elements from all over and creating a scene that works well together. First off -- surfing Snoopy. Who knew? I've been a Peanuts fan for as long as I can remember and I don't recall ever seeing him surf, but he would, wouldn't he, and probably somewhere where penguins are moseying around.
