700 sketches! That's like almost fourteen years of sketches! SCS is so awesome!
I think I was the last one to use SC01. I used it on a card for my Gram last July. This time I need a birthday card for one of the neighborhood kids. My street has nine houses on it. Mostly families of three to five. Of all of those families there are 14 sons and one daughter. My boys have plenty of other boys to play with!
I started by printing and cutting the three Gerda monsters and choosing the paper for the tags. Then I sat down to decide what to use for the main background and had the idea to make a background full of eyeballs using the middle monster's eyes. Then my little Raleigh woke up and wanted to help me. So he choose which colors to use on which monster and then sat on my lap while I colored. So I smudged purple into one of the background eyeballs. I've decided to cover it up with a little sentiment banner. But for now I've tried to cover it with my watermark. Haha! Now Raleigh is angry because he expected me to put the blue monster on the blue paper and the green on the green, etc.

Fabulous take on the sketch. Love the fun monsters and the eyeball background paper. So creative! A perfect card for a neighbor boy's birthday. Thank you for joining in and making another card with this layout to celebrate 700 Sketch Challenges!
What a fabulous card! I love the structure you came up with the eyes in the background. And those bright bold colors make my heart sing! I also like the three tags and how they form the focal point of your card. It came together wonderfully and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

Oh man, I wished I would have had the time to play this sketch challenge! I love your lil monsters, and your neighborhood description. We live on a beautiful island in Charleston, SC that is jam packed with children, dogs, and cats. Summer on the island equals bare feet, pool time, ice cream trucks, and lazy afternoons on the front porch. As seniors we enjoy being surrounded by the sights and sounds of all those lil monsters (she laughs). Great card!
