Cathy's WTUI challenge is Spotlight on Silhouettes. This fits the May Fan Club theme, Mother May I... use something new, the dies are new. I used both stamp and die cut silhouettes and the Black Ice technique featured in TLC687. The card will go to the Clendenning family with sympathy at their tragic loss.
I followed the Black Ice technique using branch and bird silhouettes on silver paper. Adhered to the PP panel and wrapped with mesh ribbon. Added black die cut birds to complete. TFL

I'm glad you're still having fun with the technique, Carla. Of course it's a perfect one for silhouettes. I think your combination of the black ice panel with the diecut birds and mesh is fab, and the sentiment is great, I've never seen that one before.

Carla, this card is striking! The black ice panel is gorgeous and looks like it is raining on the birds. This is a touching and wonderful sympathy card!

Love the results of your black ice technique! I, too, must try it! Love the die-cut bird silhouettes and black mesh ribbon. All parts making up a lovely whole!
