It's time for a new Color Challenge! Robin is hosting this week and she chose the lovely Spring colors of Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette and Old Olive, with a dessert option of flowers. I did manage to sneak in some flowers on the patterned paper banner.
I started by stamping the Gingham background on a Pink Pirouette panel with the same ink, trimming it down and adding to the white card base along with a strip of green from a patterned paper pack.
The leaf stem and butterfly were watercolored and fussy cut, before adding to the die cut sentiment circle. A little sparkle was added with a shimmer pen.
After layering on the banners, the card front was wrapped with Daffodil Delight grosgrain ribbon and bright yellow Nuvo drops added.
I'm joining the current challenge at The Paper Players where the sketch was the inspiration for my card design.

What a beautiful card, Stef! I am waiting IM-patiently for my SSS April kit. Can't wait to play with the pretty butterflies. Your card is such an inspiration to me, combining elements from two kits. It is just so beautiful!

Pretty patterned paper as your backdrop for the cute butterfly and leaves. Nice accents including the lovely font on the sentiment, narrow ribbon and nuvo drops! Great use of these colors, Stef~
