I'm late, I'm late for a very important date! This is for our very own Angie - ohmypapers!
The inspiration for my card was the wonderful sunshine teapot that Snietje found for us. I coloured this while I was away, but had to wait until I got home to add the liquid pears and card base.
Everything was coloured with prismacolour pencils and Zest it pencil blend. I laid the copy paper image on a rough tooth paper pad and pressed really hard on the blending pencil. This made the pencils look lovely and waxy.
I added a little bit of blue Copic to the ocean and then I lightly sponged over the entire image with a walnut stain distress ink foam blending tool (I didn't add any extra distress ink, just used the dregs that was already on it.
Liquid pearls and a doodled border were added before I adhered it to the base. Because it's just copy paper, I find it best to use a glue stick all over the paper, with no gaps otherwise air pockets appear.
Thanks for looking and apologise for being so late!

FANTASTIC...rich, bold, and vibrant colors, and of course, colored to perfection!! This is a lovely, lovely image, but by the time you are done Miss Susie, it exceeds the author's possible imagination of how beautiful it really can be! Angie will LOVE it!

Oh I do wish I was a mermaid today. Would love to be in that deep blue, cool watery sea today. I admire her collection of pearls - just what every mermaid should have. Stay cool Susie.
