This card has been a total indulgence for me today. I have had great fun creating it using a number of my favourite techniques.
The card is for Anita's Teapot Tuesday challenge to make a sunny card that could be sent to one of our members to cheer her up and I have also used this weeks sketch challenge again as it was perfect for what I wanted.
For the focal panel I took an old Magenta flower stamp and coloured it with SU Stamp'n Write markers. I then spritzed some 300 gm watercolour paper with a mini mister and again spritzed the stamp with the marker ink on it with a fine spray of water again using the mini mister.
I had unmounted the stamp so that I could use it in my Misti just in case I needed to re-stamp but only needed to do it once in the end.
The blue panel is more watercolour effect, this time I spread some baking paper on my craft mat, slapped Ranger Distress ink; Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans & Salty Ocean on to it then spritzed the ink with water and laid the x-press It blending paper panel into the wet ink and wriggled it around until I was happy with the coverage. I dried this then added more Chipped Sapphire ink into the corners with a blending sponge and spritzed it again, I then dried this and added some Distress Oxide ink; Salty Ocean & Faded Jeans randomly over the panel. Finally I spritzed the dried panel with home made glitter mist made with Perfect Pearls powder Gold and water in a mini mister.
Panel two on the sketch was created by using two strips of washi tape. The greeting has been done in fine gold embossing powder.
I have more photos over on my blog if you need more detail.
Cheers
Marg

These Magenta stamps are so gorgeous and your sunny flowers with so much detail are sure the cheer Angie right up. Your water colored blue panel is a real showstopper on this card! Congratulations on this card winning in the Favorites category- it is so deserving! ~Karen.
this card is so lovely. I love the various techniques you used. It's terrific when new life is given to older stamp designs, especially Magenta stamps because they're so good.

This is so beautiful in your photo, I cannot imagine how glorious it is in person!!! Wow, there's just so much to see that you really cannot take it all in at once. That blue sparkly panel is wonderful and adds just the right depth to allow all of the various golds to shine. The strips of gold that border that blue panel are so intriguing, I need to see those in more detail and will be checking out your blog to see more.
Oh, my word this is a work of art and I get to hold it in my hand!!!! It's simply gorgeous and so full of sunshine! The image is beautiful. I love the sparkle on the blue! Marg, this is truly stunning and I get to keep it!!! Thank you so very much for thinking of me!!!
