This is for Toni's fun Ways to Use It challenge....Mmmm, Food. According to my DH, cakes pretty much cover all the important food groups like chocolate, cream and icing sugar.
Here we have Milly in pink and Molly in green choosing a special treat. The girls started out life as a Sassy Cherryl digi image. The actual digi is just Molly and the cake stand complete with balloons.
To do this card, I flipped the image and cropped out the cake stand. This is just printed on normal copy paper, coloured with Prismacolour pencils, blended with Zest-it pencil blend, then highlighted with Copics.
I stenciled on the brick wall using the remains of silver Versa Colour ink that was on a foam blending tool. I just tilted the tool at a high angle to get in and around the girls and the cake stand. The stencil is not as wide as the card, so I just shuffle it over a bit and keep sponging. I don't get too precious about lining up the brick work, but it is easily done if you want to.
The card looked a bit bland, so I cut out a window, then on a scarp of cardstock I attached some lace that was a lovely RAK from JodyLynn and added a bit of washi tape. The tape scrunched up a bit, but I liked it, so I let it be.
Thanks so much for looking. I hope you are having a happy, inky week.

Oh, how ADORABLE! You've really colored these gals beautifully, Susie, and I really love the background. The girls seem to really pop off the page, and how adorable to see them both eyeing the desserts! Wonder who is getting what??? Love and squishies, sis! xoxo

I love your Sassy Cheryl cards, Susie and i always smile when you casually mention that you simply flipped the image. I would have a better chance of winning an Olympic gold medal in pole vaulting than altering anything on a digital image. You really lost me with the masking part. The window and brick wall are so darn cute.

Susie, I love your fun scenes and the marvelous stories that accompany them! The window is a great addition and great job on that wall. Fabulous coloring and as usual, I learn something new from you with each card.
