Her card reminded of a stamp set I picked up on ebay. I got it for stamping on backgrounds like this one and using with techniques, but I donÂ’t think IÂ’ve used it yet.
Tracie inspired me also for Ceal’s Falliday Fest Challenge – Block party – to use an acrylic block to make a background. I liked Tracie’s idea to graduate the colors, but I went with different colors purposely arranging the colors to correspond with the stamp: green grass, orange flowers, yellow sunny sky. I smeared Distress Oxide ink on a craft mat, lightly misted with water and put my acrylic block on top and stamped it on my watercolor paper.
Changes: A different technique and stamp, layered the image only and popped it up, different sentiment, left off the ribbon to be easier to mail. I will use my card for Thanksgiving, but I could send it as a thank you card.
