It is my pleasure to be your hostess in the Color Challenge this week. I have chosen Pink Pirouette, Berry Burst and Lost Lagoon. The dessert option is "dimension." For this card, I've popped up a pretty butterfly and added some sequins.
The inspiration for this card comes from Ashley in the UK, an absolute wizard with the Scan 'n Cut machine. She posts YouTube videos under the name, applelover53. From her, I learned how to cut the large butterfly and the smaller one that is cut into the card base.
Somewhere on the Internet I saw a "love" image that looked a lot like the one on my card. I used the SNC basic shapes and alphabet and created my version of the design.
I couldn't get the large butterfly to cut out of Lost Lagoon cardstock (too intricate for that medium), so I cut it from Whisper White, and colored it with Lost Lagoon ink and a stencil brush. I sponged the edges with Pink Pirouette ink, stamped the speckled design, added the Lost Lagoon layer under the card front, and finished it off with Wink of Stella on the word and butterfly and a few sequins.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

WONDERFUL card...meeting the color challenge right on. Love the Lost Lagoon butterflies, especially the open-die-cut with the color peeking through! GREAT die-cut sentiment with the turned-over heart...cute idea!
