I was all too happy to make today's Alpha challenge for the letter T, especially if it involved making a tag. I LOVE making tags.
Since I have stocked up on books to read, and I keep losing my old store receipts that I use for bookmarks either in the bed covers or under the bed, or the dog chews them up, I decided to make a TAG bookmark, extra large, so that possibly I won't lose it. I used a real honest to goodness page from my favorite go-to book for book pages, an 1840 copy of Ivanhoe, in such bad shape that it is only good for page crafts, although the book cover is still rich with history. I blended Distress Inks, spritzed with water, dried the paper, and glued it to the tag. The edges are stained, a coffee spill stencil used in medium brown, and a Fiskars stamp. Then I fussy cut a row of books from a bg pad and glued to the bottom, tied an old bent ribbon with key to the tag, and there we go. TFL!

What a stunning bookmark tag you have made Kandie. You could go into business selling these my friend. From one fellow book lover to another, this tag is simply one of the nicest bookmarks I have ever seen. I love everything you did to make this tag and I loved reading about your journey making it too. Congratulations on this tag winning in the favorites category too- it sure is deserving! Hugs! ~Karen.
