This is for Maura's color challenge this week. Very classy colors. real red, black, white. This card is going to a very special lady who is turning 93 tomorrow. We are taking her to a movie this evening. She was the first lady from our church who made me feel very welcome into the neighbor hood about 40 years ago. You never forget people who have been kind to you.
This is also for the challenge over at Power Poppy for no line coloring. Check it out..... http://powerpoppy.blogspot.com/2017/...-no-lines.html
Using the digi, did the printing with 15% opacity. I do print one with 100% opacity out on copy paper to know where the lines are on the image. Using the reinkers and a black water color pencil, did the coloring. Using the sizzix die, embossed. Added wink of stella. Did the sentiment with my pen and nib. Splattered with black ink when finished. TFL

First, the pop of that rose is amazing, and second, my mother's name was Evelyn. This card brought a tear to my eye.....she hasn't been gone a year yet. She would have loved this. TFS.

I'm sure your dear friend will feel very special as a result of getting your card. I had a friend like yours who welcomed me at my first day at a new church years ago. I said I would never forget how I felt and would do the same thing to make others feel as special as I felt. (I don't think I've fully lived up to that promise as much as I should have because since then I've been to so many new churches and at each new church I had to learn who was and was not the new person, but I still tried to greet all strangers will a smile and a hello.) Yes, I've moved a lot in my life!!
