Boy did this challenge bring back a flood of awesome memories. My grandmother lived on a farm and they had goats, chickens, horses, cows, pigs and anything else that you could think of.
They also lived in a big old farm house. Back then there was no such thing as central heat and air. So the house was heated with a pot belly stove in the living room, and a fireplace in the dinning room and in grandma and grandpa's bedroom down stairs. The upstairs bedrooms were freezing cold.
My grandmother would get with other women in the summer and they would make quilts to use on their beds for the winter. I remember grandpa made grandma a quilt rack that lowered from the ceiling and when not in use was raised back up with the unfinished quilt still on it waiting to be worked on the next time they got together to quilt.
I remember spending the night with my grandparents and grandma would have so many quilts on us that we couldn't move. What a great time that was. I sure do miss this and her quilts that were made with love.

OH I bet for sure that must have been the coziest sleep, except for maybe trying to get OUT of bed in the mornings must have been hard though. But yes those grandma quilts like just hugged you to sleep, so heavy and warm. Love your sunburst quilt, such a cheery design and especially with those lil cuuuute extras. That tomato pn holder brings back memories too, still have my old one from grandma and still use it( course don't sew much so have not used it in a while..;0)..)...TFS..:0)
