I stamped my image, coloured her with pencils and masked her, then used a homemade circle stencil to sponge in the background, and also sponged the floor after scoring too look like boards. I hung my paper lanterns across the top, using my smallest circle punch to punch a tiny notch in the edge of the card base to stop the gold cord from slipping.
I know Japanese decor is traditionally very minimalist but I thought the room looked too bare, so I added a little pot with a plant in Christmas colours.

Terrific tutorial to add dimension to cards with those beautiful lanterns. The string of lanterns with your lovely lady looks fantastic. Red and gold is such a striking color combo.
