After stamping the image, I masked Charlotte with 'drawing gum' -that stuff is not for the faint hearted, it smells like a dead critter. Anyway after this dreadful stuff dried I sprayed Dylusions ink spray and some Izink onto a sheet of aluminium foil, squirted on lots of water and dunked the card in the inky puddle.
When I was happy with the colour, I removed the masking fluid (it doesn't smell when it's dry thank goodness). Next step was to add lots and lots of silver stickles, add sentiment and then doodled a border.
At this point I should have walked away.....but no, I had to pick up the grunge circle stamp and add a few grungy stamps. It looked awful, I tried scrubbing it off. It dulled down a bit but not enough.
Being very careful I tore Charlotte from the background, adhered a book page to Kraft card then placed the torn Charlotte to one side to cover more grunge. Whew crisis averted.
Thank you for looking, I hope you get a chance to join in.

I think I will pass on the masking fluid, thank you. I love Charlotte, obviously more beautiful than ANY of the Bronte sisters (and their brother too, I'm afraid!). Your description of how she was born is riotous, and I'm so glad to hear that even you, our guru, have had your moments of despair........that end up glorious!! great color (RED!), and love all the sparkle (and of course the reading material in the bg!).

I love waking up and seeing a card from you in the gallery ... I know I am going to learn something and oftrn have a laugh at the same time! I love your 'art' - it's always fabulous, even if you make changes you didn't plan. Never stop creating Susie ... and Charlotte is divine, oh that hair!

Wow, INGENIOUS! I was impressed with torn Charlotte being offset and the page behind it, not knowing you were averting a crisis!!! Seriously, you are MAD CREATIVE GENIUS! I love this bohemian style! Is bohemian known in Australia?! I think I'd like to wear her headdress!

I love that torn page..it really sets off Charlotte and kind of provides a window or secret bg to this creation. All the red is just fabulous and what can I say about all the sparkly hair stuff that is just dripping off her...it's freaking AMAZING!!

Another knock-your-socks-off card, Susie. Enjoy your "how-to" process, both the physical and the mental. A spectacular card that stirs the mind as well as the eyes.
