This is for Ky's Mix challenge, Richer Colors. She's given us an interesting and fun way to create a stained glass look. I used markers, pens, dye ink and heated ep.
I stamped my images and drew in the stained glass lines. Colored the images with alcohol markers then scribbled markers on a ceramic tile for a palette and used a water brush filled with alcohol to paint the bg. Embossed the panel with clear ep. Dry embossed kraft cs with woodgrain and sponged with distress ink. Die cut and sponged leaves and acorns, tied with twine and adhered to ribbon to complete. Loved this challenge, you should try it too! TFL

Oh wow Carla, not only have you nailed the stained glass technique, but I think you invented a faux Mother of Pearl technique. This is gorgeous my friend.

This is fantastic! It really looks like bright fall leaves have drifted down onto slate. I totally love it! (Ok, maybe I will have to give this challenge a try...)

That is such a cool effect you achieved on your stained glass bg, Carla! Need to check that tutorial out! The vibrant leaves look stunning against it. Thanks, too for linking me up with the "Quilts Give Comfort" gallery. We don't see the oldest sets in Canada because we didn't have Stampin Up here when those sets were developed, but some of them sure were cute even by today's standards. I've got a number of the little stamps from the set now and look forward to finding cute things to do with them!
