I am excited to be a guest designer for the Color Challenges this month. Today's colors from Karen are pretty, soft subtles. I decided to go with a soft water color look. I've combined two techniques Vintage Watercoloring and palette blending. I stamped my pretty flower image in Crumb Cake. I then took my large acrylic block and scribbled my 3 marker colors. I used my Aqua Pen to add water and start layering my colors. Once I had the color I desired I used my Soft Sky to color wash a background over the whole panel. I went back to the image with my markers to add detail back in to the flowers. I also added some shading. I stamped my sentiment in Crumb Cake. I decided to add dry embossing but didn't want to lose the sentiment so I angled my ef. Though I tried valiantly I couldn't get it through my Big Shot with the angle so I ended up hammering to complete the embossing. I sponged over the embossing. I wanted to get desert so I used my Wink of Stella to add glittery accents in the center of the flower and in the center of each embossed section. I also wrote over my sentiment. I created an unintentional wrinkle with my attempts at angled embossing so I crumpled the whole piece and sponged subtly over the wrinkles. I had cut bases in both Wasabi and Blushing Bride. I took the pink base to my cutter and sliced the front in half and glued it to my Wasabi base.

Such a fine job you did on your guest designer week!! I like the texture in the bottom half with the green sponged on it. Your flowers are so soft and pretty!!
