So last month I was on the verge of finishing Dr. Brene Brown's course "Daring Greatly". All I had left was to create my Manifesto and I was done, but on May 3rd I was forced from my home town with next to nothing due to wildfires. All of my art/craft supplies were left behind except for 5 sheets of copic coloring card stock that were in the car. Now nearly 2 months later we still haven't been home and are living in another town and I had to finish my Manifesto today or I would not have completed the class. I have to admit it has taken a lot out of me finishing something as uplifting as a Manifesto when everything seems so unsure, money is tight and all of my wonderful supplies are so far away from me but I decided to buy a pencil, eraser, coloring pencils, a couple tubs of paint, a white gel pen and an outliner pen and go for it (turns out the paper really is for copic markers lol!). All in all I'm ok with it and wanted to share for those who may not have a lot in the way of supplies or strength at the moment but want to create anyway. I think I'm going to laminate it and use it as an art journal cover.
Here are the words to my Manifesto:My Elixir To Daring Greatly
With a cup of Authenticity, a heap of Creativity,
a spoonful of Courage and a dash of Integrity
Stir three times and laugh out loud,
put on some music, dance up and then down.
Now give it a look and when it starts to bubble
throw in some chocolate, just enough to stay subtle.
Don't be in to big a rush this is not yet complete,
you'll need to add more before it can truly achieve.
So with a strong dose of Imagination,
a touch of Self-kindness,
a generous sprinkle of Service
and a pinch of Gratefulness
You now know the secret to living my story.
Do not take it lightly and no need to worry,
though daring to live greatly is not an easy task,
I promise those fears & those doubts will soon pass.
This elixir will work for all those who remember the most important ingredient to all
wholehearted adventure.
But I give you fair warning, it's most difficult to find. It's not something one's given or awarded in time.
Once you've found this ingredient I urge you to hold on, to protect it and nourish it,
I promise it will grow quite strong.
You will find it in one of the most unlikely places
and most will try casting this spell by replacing it.
But to live a full life and to
truly Dare Greatly
one cannot begin
without the
belief of
I'M WORTHY!
Have a great day everyone xoxo

Pat, this being the first time I checked your gallery, I am sooooo sorry for what you are going through! That is really unique how you have your Manifesto written on your ?card? I think it looks like it is bigger than a card, especially if you are thinking of it as a cover for your journal! Whichever, IT IS AWESOME! Well done! tfs
Oh, my goodness! I am so sorry for your troubles. But Gf, you are persevering! I see that! Great creation and manifesto. Sending hugs. And thank you for your kind comments on my zebra card.
