A birthday card for my grandson who turned 4 this month. He's into boats now, mainly, I think because they have a pond in the backyard. I did cut two white ships and two black ships, glued them together to make a sturdy ship, as I designed the waves so that the boat sits between them. I used Ranger distress paint to colour the sky, that's why the photo shows warping at the top. In retrospect, i should have made this more than a one layer card at the top. I hand cut waves from blue cs and painted the tops with a pearl acrylic paint, which looks white IRL, but yellow on this photo.. I admit I was too lazy to go looking for my white acrylic paint. Die cut and adhered the sentiment and placed the pirate ship in the waves and the card was done.

This is so sweet and creative. Love those waves and your die cut is positively wonderful tucked inside the waves. I could begin to figure out to make a card like this, Ina.
